She brings unique expertise in technology transfer, licensing and legal counseling through drug discovery, development and commercialization.
Before joining Clexio, Efrat was the General Counsel, Global R&D at Teva Pharmaceuticals where she served as strategic business partner and supported all activities from discovery to clinical. In addition, Efrat led several major business development transactions, including licenses, collaborations and divestments. Prior to Teva, Efrat worked at Harvard University’s Office of Technology Development as a Senior Associate Director of Technology Transactions where she facilitated transfer of cutting-edge Harvard-developed innovation from lab to global public sphere through legal work and transactions.
Prior to joining Harvard, Efrat held an in-house counsel positions both in a drug development company based in the US (Epix Pharmaceuticals) and in an investment and holding private group specializing in energy, real estate, infrastructure and communication based in Israel (Petrolgaz Group).
Efrat holds an MBA, Healthcare Innovation from Reichman University (previously IDC Herzliya), an LL.M from Boston University School of Law, an LL.B cum laude from the Interdisciplinary Center, Herzliya and B.A in Communication and Sociology from Haifa University. She is admitted to practice law in both Israel and US.
